M&S Vote Tops 2000!

Well in a very short 2 1/2 months since my last post on how you have taken to your keyboards to vote in our Marks & Spencer poll if you would like to see them return to Canada. You all have spoken and now we have topped 2000 votes with 82% voting YES to see them return. In their Annual Report for 2010/11 M&S now has 361 stores in 42 countries around the world. In this time period they opened 42 new stores so when will Canada be on the radar list?
Jan Herre the Director of International is looking for new markets as they push to grow there International presence. Earlier this year M&S announced it’s return to Paris, France with a store on the Champs-Elysees can we be that far behind. Canada is not some where that they have no exposure just they need to return and run a business model that suits for the climate and business model that would work in 2000′s unlike the 80′s or 90′s.
What makes M&S great is that it is a British retailer that can work today and that being British is what makes them different from other European, American or Canadian retialers. So keep the votes coming and I will report back when we hit 3000.
