Haliburton Highland Games July, 2010
Well it has been a busy summer season for us that’s for sure. On Saturday July 10. 2010 we were up in cottage country at the Haliburton Highland Games for our 4th time. With all outdoor summer shows it comes down to weather and what weather we had, glorious sunshine and hot temps.
Attendance was good this year as nice weather always helps to bring in the cottagers to the town for the day. From the Dancers, Pipers, Big Burly men throwing stuff or those who would prefer calling it Heavy Events. The opening Parade thru the downtown was welcomed by all who lined the street for this show. My niece and I had a great day talking to some great people and helping to fill a need with some goodies from the past.
Who can resist a Curly Wurly, Flake, Yorkie (not for girls!), Malteresers, Walkers Crisps or a nice jar of Pickled Onions or Branston Pickle to name a few of the delitcable goodies on offer.
